Our Story

My name is Dmitry Suchek, and my journey in the automotive industry began in 1992.

I started as a junior specialist with a passion for understanding how vehicles work and a determination to become the best technician I could be. Over the years, I developed my skills through hands-on experience, continuous learning, and a commitment to solving even the most challenging mechanical problems.

Diesel engines and fuel injection systems became my primary areas of expertise. These systems demand precision, technical knowledge, and the ability to identify the root cause of a problem rather than simply treat its symptoms.

What began as a career eventually became my lifes work.

In Kyiv, Ukraine, I built and developed a full-service automotive repair business, bringing together a wide range of automotive services under one roof.

From diagnostics and routine maintenance to complex engine repairs, diesel fuel system service, and injector repair, our goal was to provide customers with complete automotive care in one place.

Over the decades, the business grew through hard work, technical expertise, and the trust of our customers. By 2022, I had built a successful operation supported by years of experience and a strong professional foundation.

But my greatest achievement was never just the business itself. It was the knowledge, values, and family legacy behind it.

I am the father of five children, and family has always been at the center of my life.

When Russias full-scale invasion of Ukraine began in 2022, I had to leave the country and begin a new chapter in the United States. Leaving behind a business I had spent decades building was not easy.

I entrusted the Ukrainian operation to my eldest son, David, who continues to lead and develop the business in Kyiv to this day.

Despite the ongoing war, the loss of human lives, and the destruction affecting communities and infrastructure across Ukraine, the business continues to operate and grow.

I am deeply proud of David for carrying this responsibility forward. His work represents something greater than business continuity: it is the continuation of a family tradition built on resilience, dedication, and professional pride.

Our story in Ukraine did not end when I left. It continues through the next generation.

Starting over in a new country meant adapting to a different automotive market, new technologies, and new professional standards.

I continued working in the industry and eventually became a lead master technician at an automotive dealership. This experience expanded my understanding of American vehicles and strengthened my knowledge of the systems and service standards used in the United States.

Still, I knew I wanted to build something of my own again a business where I could stand behind every repair and bring my own values to every customer interaction.

That vision became D&S Automotive Repair Solutions.

Today, I work alongside my sons to provide professional automotive maintenance and repair services. We combine decades of practical experience with modern diagnostic methods and a straightforward approach to customer service.

Our mission is simple: identify the problem, explain the solution, and do the job right.

For us, automotive repair is about more than tools, technology, and mechanical knowledge. It is about people.

We understand that a reliable vehicle is essential to everyday life. It gets people to work, carries families on road trips, and helps them take care of the people who matter most.

That is why we believe in honest recommendations, careful workmanship, and treating every customer with respect.

Vehicles and technology have changed dramatically since I entered this profession in 1992. But the principles that guide my work have never changed: integrity, precision, hard work, and accountability.

Working with my sons allows me to pass on more than technical knowledge. It allows me to share the values that have shaped my entire career.

My journey began in Ukraine in 1992. Today, it continues in America, where my sons and I are building the next chapter of our family business.

My eldest son, David, continues our legacy in Ukraine, while we establish and grow D&S Automotive Repair Solutions here in the United States.
